I think I'l go with 160s as there are more in the buy sell.
What do you think about giro remedy matte cityscape vs. 661 Comp 2. both with oakley crowbars

SkiRacer wrote
Jun 9, 2009 at 17:56
yea i see what you mean. Shud I get 140mm travel in front or 160mm

SkiRacer wrote
Jun 9, 2009 at 17:51
What do you mean?

SkiRacer wrote
Jun 9, 2009 at 17:48
I have just decided that X0 is too expensive but X9 fits nice. I'm willing to spend $1300 on it so yea.

SkiRacer wrote
Jun 9, 2009 at 17:45
shit my bottom tube on the rear triangle is pretty scratched from the chain and I've only just wrapped and ziptied a used bicycle tube around it. I think I can afford an X0 drive train and float r but I'm not sure if I should just upgrade it from the 55 r or upgrade it with more travel & get 160 mm

SkiRacer wrote
Jun 9, 2009 at 17:37
I also have quite a bit of cash so I want to make my five-0 good and have a good resale price. Do you think the 18" frame I have is to big for me (I'm 5'4")

SkiRacer wrote
Jun 9, 2009 at 17:35
Yea I think I'll X0 the drive train and try to get a used 140 mm (or 160 what do you suggest) float r

SkiRacer wrote
Jun 9, 2009 at 17:28
about my 2008 five-0. Do you think I should get a spank Oozy bar in white, spank lock -ons in brown, funn skinny rl saddle in white camo and white straitline platfrom pedals?

SkiRacer wrote

SkiRacer wrote
Jun 9, 2009 at 17:23

SkiRacer wrote
Jun 9, 2009 at 17:19
K I'll try to get a full face. I have a set of cheap 661 shins which have already saved me quite a bit djing and I'll try not to be a dick. By being a dick does that mean like ditching you guys and finding you later and complaining that you guys are too slow and that shiznit? If so that is definitely not me.

SkiRacer wrote
Jun 9, 2009 at 17:15
K now I just need someone to ride with. Do you mind riding with a newbie 14 year old? And would I need body armor and a full face or just a normal dj bucket helmet?

SkiRacer wrote

I know I know. Sounds good. Just I kind of got put down by my mom as soon as I bought my bike and she broke the news that we were going to spend the summer in Europe. I was heartbroken. I wanted to stay here and Dh a bit. So my First real season other then September if Fortune is still open is going to be next summer.

SkiRacer wrote
Jun 9, 2009 at 17:02
Yea I was just planning ahead so i could get a decent spec list started and figure out what works well with what . That sort of thing.

SkiRacer wrote
Jun 9, 2009 at 16:59
So your saying I should get an 8 incher?

SkiRacer wrote
Jun 9, 2009 at 16:53
yea I just don't want to get a DH bike for fortune and I though a slopestyle would be able to handle "The FO"

SkiRacer wrote
Jun 9, 2009 at 16:51
Then I'll look into a commencal absolut sx.

SkiRacer wrote
Jun 9, 2009 at 16:03
Yea. I just saw the dobermann Pink on the net and I was wondering if it would work. Looks like a great little flickable bike.

SkiRacer wrote
Jun 9, 2009 at 15:57
Do you think a slopestyle bike would be good for fortune? would it hold up or would I need a better rear sus?

SkiRacer wrote

Oh of course, try not to take this as an insult at all. I'm 100% sure you could ride it. But the trail was just so greasy after the rain, its hard to ride (like I side, its a drifting out of control trail). You can kind of tell its gooey as you can see muddy indents on the middle of the trail that kind of suck you in. If it were to be dry, you would be correct. Very easy, fast, flowy trail. Much like the one the two in the red were riding.

I'm not really an arguement. I'm not saying 'you suck' 'f*ck you', etc. All I'm stating is that before you call trails easy, unless it is a street...sometimes there is more there than what meets the eye of the film. Wouldn't want you to come ride this trail and eat all you've had to say now would we?

coca wrote

Yes, riding experience on the Shore and this trail. And your intelligence seems to be lacking aswell if you seem to think you can ride things at such speeds without really seeing the terrain in person.
